Namun ada yang aneh dari kamera NEX-6 tersebut, setelah menjejalkan konsep touch-screen untuk menarik pemilik smartphone di NEX-5R, justru dalam NEX-6 operasi berbasis layar sentuh malah dihilangkan.
SOny NEX-6 maupun NEX-7 memunyai kemiripan baik dalam hal penampilan maupun spesifikasi (kecuali sensor 24 megapixel pada NEX-7). Electronic Viewfinder dan LCD
